SNOW POLICY: In case of snow, SCOSaG will generally close in accordance with local schools (i.e. if a majority of area schools are closed, SCOSaG will be closed and all classes/workshops and open studio will be cancelled).

Cirricula meets Missouri Academic Content Standards for grades 9-12.
Session 1: Wednesdays 9/15 - 10/13 1PM-3PM $95 + $25 supply fee
Color, Line,and Form in Modern Artz
Students will explore the key artistic elements of color, line and form through the context of several key schools of modern art. Working in both 2D and 3D media, students will create four completed artworks to gain a hands-on understanding of the techiniques of the various stylistic schools as well as learn about the works of the major artists of each school and understand the art historical context of each art movement.
Session 2: Wednesdays 10/20 - 11/17 1PM - 3PM $95 + $25 supply fee
Perspective and Proportion in The Renaissance
Students will learn about key developments in western art as well as pivotal Rennaissance artists through completing 4 artworks using both 2D and 3Dmedia utilizing the artistic elements of perspective and proportion. Students will also be introduced to the art historical and cultural contexts of Northern and Italian Rennaissance Art and the use of the figure in art.
Open Studio

Want individualized art instruction? Join us for a one-hour (or more) exploration in the medium of your choosing (clay [handbuilding], drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, and more) under the guidance of a SCOSAG artist educator. All materials are included. This is also a great opportunity to invite a friend! (Limit two students per hour.)
Open Studio is available for youth ages 5-15:

• Saturday: 10am to 1pm
• Open Studio is available during the school year only (September - May)
* Open Studio Hours are by appointment only and must be reserved three business days in advance. Call 314-865-0060 or email us to schedule your Open Studio time.
Open Studio is $15 per student per hour.
Plan on regular visits? Buy a 10-hour Studio Card for $125. Studio Cards are good for 90 days from date of purchase.
We'll keep your Studio Card on file, so you don't need to worry about anything except getting your artist to the studio!
Junior Girl Scout Badge Workshops
Earn a badge with SCOSAG! We'll send a SCOSAG artist to your troup meeting to complete the 6 activities needed to earn the badge.
1.5 hour workshops: $15 per scout; 8 scout minimum (most supplies provided, depending on badge)

Birthday pARTies
Let's celebrate your birthday with ART!
SCOSAG offers pARTies for children ages 5 and up. Choose from a variety of fun themes.

Let us make your celebration a pARTy! We will send a SCOSAG artist and supplies for up to 20 to your party for a 45-minute ARTastic activity! Choose from fun themes involving fine art, craft and upcycling. And, each child takes home thier pARTy favor! Please provide one adult helper to assist with the activity. $100

ARTy
All pARTies must be booked at least one month in advance and require a full a 50% deposit at the time of booking. Cancelations prior to two (2) weeks before party date will receive a refund of 1/2 of the deposit. No refund will be given for cancelations within two weeks of pARTy date.

Weather Policy:
IN CASE OF SNOW... SCOSaG will cancel classes, workshops, and Open Studio on St. Louis Public School snow days. School Daze and Winter/Spring Break camps will only be canceled if there is sufficient snowfall or ice to make it hazardous for faculty and students to travel. If you have any doubt as to whether or not classes or camp is being held, email us at scosag@gmail.com.
Classes and workshops missed due to weather conditions will be made up at the descretion of the Programming Director based on time, space, and staff availability. Missed camp days will be credited to the student's account. No refunds are given for missed classes, workshops or camps.
